The Theory Test
|
|
 |
You may not be aware, but before you can
take your Driving Test, you need to take and pass a Theory Test. This involves you
answering 35 random questions, of which at least 30 need to be correct to gain a
pass, and then a Hazard Perception Test, which is 15 video clips
containing various HAZARDS, of which you need to score a minimum of 44
marks out of a possible 75 to pass. You need to pass BOTH PARTS of
this test at the same sitting, otherwise you'll need to re-book and
take the test again...The current fee for this test is £20.50
(October 2003) |
| The
test is taken at any number of test centres all over the UK, the nearest
to Loughborough is at Leicester's Theory Centre located on Wellington Street in the
heart of the city, using
a touch screen computer that randomly generates 35 questions from a possible
800, then moves on to the HAZARD PERCEPTION element.
To prepare yourself for this, you
can borrow my CD-ROMS which have all the latest questions and answers
and video clips. All I ask is that you give a FULLY REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
of £5.00 and return it to me. And of course there is always
the Highway Code and any number of reference books to refer to.

The UK Theory test requires more than just a knowledge of The
